President-elect Joe Biden saw little prospect for investigations into President Donald Trump after he left the White House.
“I will not do what the current president is doing and use the Justice Department as a tool to insist that something has happened,” Biden told NBC television.
“I am focused on getting the American public back to a state where people have some certainty, some confidence, some knowledge that they can handle it,” the president-elect said.
People from Biden’s entourage made similar comments.
“Joe Biden will not tell the Justice Department who to investigate and who not to investigate,” future White House chief of staff Ron Klein told ABC.
These statements came amid calls to bring the president to justice for the misconduct he allegedly committed.
