Undefeated IBF and WBC light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev (15-0, 15 KOs) is thinking about moving up to the heavyweight division for a fight with Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik (17-0, 13 KOs).
Note that in the amateur ring, Usik twice blocked Beterbiev’s path to the medals of the world championships – at the 2011 World Championships and at the 2012 Olympics.
“I was running, it was boring – and decided to watch our fight with Usik at the Olympics. I would be interested in boxing with him in the heavyweight division. What do you think is worth doing?” – asked Beterbiev in a video posted on his Instagram story.
Earlier, Arthur Beterbiev said that he does not understand heavyweights who refuse to train with “iron”.
