And about. Pentagon’s deputy chief for politics resigns after Esper’s dismissal

Another representative of the Pentagon leadership is leaving his post, as it became known a day after the dismissal of Defense Secretary Mark Esper.

In a resignation letter sent to President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs James Anderson listed some of his accomplishments, saying he was honored to serve his country.

“Now, as always, our long-term success depends on adhering to the Constitution, which all civil servants are sworn to uphold and defend,” he wrote.

On Monday, Trump announced via Twitter that he was firing the Secretary of Defense.
