Alexander Krasyuk – about Usik’s plans after the fight with Chisora: “He must fight a champion or challenger”

Alexander Krasyuk, co-promoter of the mandatory contender for the WBO heavyweight title Alexander Usik, assured that in the event of a victory over Derek Chisora, his ward will demand a title fight.

“Almost nothing has changed. Usyk is a mandatory contender for the WBO title. He will remain so, unless he loses this status. Usyk will remain a mandatory contender until he fights with the champion.”

After the fight with Chisora, Usyk must fight for the title. I think God has special plans for each of us, including boxers. We can only talk and discuss possibilities. But it is difficult to predict the real development of events. Everything can happen. Fury can lose to Wilder, and Joshua to Pulev. Both of them can get injured. The tendril can be defeated.

I prefer to wait until Usyk meets Chisora, Joshua meets Bullet, and Fury meets Wilder. And only after that we can make a decision. But our position is this: Usyk must fight with the champion or challenger. It depends on whether the champion wants to fight the mandatory challenger or vacate the title, “said Alexander Krasyuk in an interview with Boxing Social on the YouTube channel.
